Keep rescue moving.
Support urgent care.

Druzi Space reports that repairs to its rescue van are underway following a drone strike. Its team continues to face costs for fuel, repairs and urgent veterinary treatment.

AWAMO has approved €1,000 for Druzi Space’s rescue-van repairs and €1,000 for Liuba’s veterinary-treatment project — €2,000 in further support.

This appeal supports our ongoing work helping animals and the people caring for them in Ukraine.

Our 2024 Ukraine visit

Our 2024 visit forms part of that longer commitment through Australian Animal Aid, AWAMO’s animal welfare arm. Alongside Nigel’s account, letters received in October 2024 recognise the practical value of our work with Ukrainian partners.

Returning to Ukraine in 2023

When Australian Animal Aid returned to Ukraine in September 2023, the visit built on relationships established during our first deployment in 2022. Alongside the continuing need for food and shelter, our local partners had identified another priority: practical knowledge and equipment to help people care for animals during the war.
