Throughout history, animals have served alongside Australian servicemen and women in times of war, conflict and peacekeeping. Horses, dogs, pigeons and many other animals have carried messages, transported supplies, detected danger, provided companionship and performed extraordinary acts of courage.
The AWAMO War Animal Remembrance Wreath offers a meaningful way to honour their service, loyalty and sacrifice.
Measuring approximately 40cm in diameter, each commemorative wreath is finished with a “LEST WE FORGET” ribbon and is suitable for remembrance ceremonies, memorial services, commemorative events and permanent or temporary displays.
Purple Poppy Wreath
Featuring purple poppies, the recognised symbol of remembrance for animals who served in war and conflict, this wreath is a distinctive tribute to the countless animals who served alongside our armed forces.
Dual Red & Purple Poppy Wreath
Combining traditional red remembrance poppies with purple poppies, this design honours both the people and animals whose service and sacrifice are remembered during commemorative occasions.
These wreaths are ideal for RSL and veterans’ organisations, schools, councils, community groups, military organisations, memorials and individuals wishing to recognise the contribution of animals in service.
They are particularly suited to commemorations including War & Service Animal Day, ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day, as well as local memorial services and other commemorative events throughout the year.
By purchasing an AWAMO remembrance wreath, you are also supporting the Australian War Animal Memorial Organisation (AWAMO) and its work to recognise, commemorate and educate Australians about the service and sacrifice of animals in war.
