At the Australian War Animal Memorial Organisation (AWAMO), honouring animals means remembering their service and helping animals in need today.
We are pleased to support the Good Samaritan Donkey Sanctuary, an Australian rescue dedicated to caring for donkeys affected by neglect, hardship and abandonment. Its work offers animals a safe environment where they can receive patient, compassionate care.
AWAMO has donated a new animal first aid kit and $500 to support the sanctuary’s ongoing work. This support is intended to assist the people caring for donkeys who depend on the sanctuary.
The donated first aid kit is a practical contribution. The financial gift is a way to help the sanctuary continue providing care. Both reflect AWAMO’s belief that kindness to animals should extend beyond a moment of remembrance.
AWAMO remembers the animals that have served alongside people in war and peace, while also supporting animal welfare efforts in the wider community. Working alongside groups committed to rescue and compassionate care is an important part of that mission.
