Former police horse and racing champion Chief De Beers was honoured with the Blue Cross Medal just days before his peaceful passing at age 28. Beyond his extraordinary service as a police horse, Chief became a much-loved ambassador, engaging school children, racing fans, and residents in aged care homes across Queensland.
