AWAMO is proud to have been a long-standing supporter of the Kotuku Foundation Assistance Animals Aotearoa, established by Merenia Donne in 2006. Today, the foundation works with 14 highly trained dogs and their handlers, providing vital support for people living with conditions such as diabetes, Addison’s disease, and seizures.

Through sponsorship, AWAMO has helped New Zealand Veterans access assistance dogs and has contributed funding to the foundation’s Equine Project, which uses horses to support mental health, wellbeing, and rehabilitation.
