The Memorial was established in November 2017 to honour and recognise all the animals that have served our great country.
It stands as a permanent tribute to their loyalty, courage and sacrifice across times of conflict, peacekeeping and national service. From horses and donkeys to dogs, pigeons and the many other species that have supported Australia’s military and emergency services, the Memorial ensures their contributions are remembered with the dignity and respect they deserve.
It is a place for reflection, education and gratitude, reminding future generations of the vital role animals have played in protecting and supporting our nation.
