A number of Wendy’s family has served, grandfather in WW2, brother who was an Army engineer for more than 20 years and 2 nephews, 1 a Commando and another who is still serving.

Wendy was introduced to AWAMO through my work at SBA Group who were looking to manufacture their collectible series ‘Australian War Dogs’ in 2013. It was then that the purple poppy cause was bought to her attention. Working with SBA Wendy designed a number of products using the purple poppy which included information about AWAMO to spread the word but more importantly donations from sales were given to help with their charitable works.

In 2016 Wendy was asked to serve as AWAMO’s Treasurer and has been in the position since. She has also designed a number of products that are exclusively AWAMO’s own, one being the Dual Poppy pin which is sold through RSL’s Australia wide, The Australian War Memorial and Shrine of Remembrance.
